MWLFS staff take a virtual walk to Victoria as part of the isolation walking challenge

While working from home, the Mai-Wel LabourForce Solutions Disability Employment Services (DES) and Transition to Work (TtW) teams from both Maitland and Cessnock offices have taken on a walking challenge with a goal of collectively walking the distance of Maitland to Sydney and back in only eight days. He has participated in several activities and programs in order to gain skills and explore possible career pathways. Sheree build confidence in employment at local McDonalds

Sheree’s confidence has skyrocketed since gaining her employment with Thornton McDonalds in November of 2019. While completing a Certificate II in Kitchen Operations through Mai-Wel LabourForce Solutions’ Disability Employment Service, Sheree developed a range of skills required to work within the Hospitality industry, including fundamental cooking skills, using hygienic practices and cleaning kitchen premises.
